HENNA DYE TREATMENT
1) Henna dye paste prepared with 100g of Godrej henna (which contains Amla, Bhinghraj, and Brahmi for healthier, shinier hair) + 2 tablespoons of lemon juice + 1 cup of hot black tea (2 PG tips teabags in 2 cups of boiling hot water) and left overnight.
2) Washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo (Infusium) and wrapped in my old t-shirt to remove excess water.
3) Additives to the henna paste were 1/4cup of hot tea + 1 teaspoon of ginger powder + 1 tablespoon of Brillo extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) + 5 drops of peppermint essential oil.
4) The henna dye paste was applied with my fingers (I wore disposable gloves) and massaged in. No combing. I covered my hair with a plastic bag, then a shower cap and my black beanie for 8 hours.
5) Rinsed out the henna with lots of water, and used VO5 clarifying conditioner to co-wash.
6) Applied my moisturizing deep conditioner which was 1 small mashed and sieved overripe avocado + 1/4 cup of Greek yoghurt + 1 tablespoon of Brillo EVOO + 1 teaspoon of neem oil + 1 tablespoon of honey + 1 tablespoon of Sunny Isle JBCO with Rosemary essential oil + 3 tablespoons of VO5 balancing conditioner. This was left on for 1 hour then rinsed off.
7) Apple cider vinegar rinse, air dried my hair and sealed in the moisture with Brillo EVOO and a 1/4 tablespoon of shea butter. I divided my hair into 9 sections and put in my hair bands, covered with my satin scarf and went to bed.
8) The next morning, my wisdom hairs (I am referring to grey hairs) were a nice golden red colour.
My fine textured hair was shiny, strengthened and nicely stretched.
You can do HENNA treatment on your hair every 3 months.
