NEW BP GUIDELINES AVAILABLE FOR BLOOD PRESSURE


BP MONITOR

High blood pressure is not what you should dismiss by any means because of its dangers.


These are new guidelines that came out.


BP MEASUREMENT 


*** Make sure you are done with exercise or eating 


*** Make sure you've rested for 5 minutes


*** Rest the hand you are using on the pillow


*** Don't cross your ankles 


*** Sit in 90 / 90 position, sit up 



NEW BP GUUDELINE 

Normal -- Below 120/80


Elevated -- 120/80 - 129/80


High ( Stage 1) -- 130/80 - 139/89 ( often times, lifestyle changes and medication is required here) 


High (Stage 2) -- 140/90 over or higher for both systolic and diastolic


Hypertensive Crisis -- 180/120 or more 


Note : Systolic (upper number) changes the most depending on the kind of pressure you are in. 


Meanwhile, Systolic is upper number while diastolic is lower number 


Hypertension can: 

- Damage your eyes 

- Damage reasoning, cause stroke and heart attack 

- Thicken heart walls 

- Damage Kidneys
