GET PLUMP, VOLUMINOUS AND JUICY LOOK
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that can hold water and moisture within your skin.
As a matter of fact, it can hold a thousand times of water within your skin.
Hyaluronic acid is usually jelly, sticky and squishy.
You can find hyaluronic acid within your body. Most places you can find hyaluronic acid is in your eyes, in your joints, in your hair, and within your skin.
50% of hyaluronic acid is within your skin. You have it within your epidermis and within your demis.
Unfortunately, as we get older, we start loosing more hyaluronic acid within our skin.
The younger we are, the more hyaluronic we have, the older we are, we start loosing that.
What hyaluronic acid does to our skin is that, it give us Volume, Plump and Juicy look.
As we get older and start loosing more hyaluronic acid, we start getting more of that saggy skin, and less volume in the skin, which causes us to get fine lines and wrinkles.
Any skin type can benefit from the topical hyaluronic acid. We have oily skin, sensitive skin, dry skin, irritated skin. Any skin type can actually benefit from hyaluronic acid. But you want to make sure you don't have a blend of hyaluronic acid and exfoliating ingredient in one serum. You want to keep these apart and concentrate on hyaluronic acid.
WHY DO PEOPLE EXPERIENCE DRYNESS WHILE USING HYALURONIC ACID IF IT SUPPOSED TO HOLD WATER AND MOISTURE IN YOUR SKIN?
If you use hyaluronic acid incorrectly, it can actually reverse on you.
Hyaluronic acid is a very smart and clever ingredient, it does two things:
1. It goes into the skin, looks for water, traps and hold to water. If you don't have water on your skin or you are dehydrated already or you exfoliated too much and loss a lot of water, now it it can't find water within the skin, it can't hold any moisture. So what ends up happening is that it dries the skin out.
2. Also, Hyaluronic acid can draw moisture from the air.
Guess what?
If you are living in a climate that is super dry, and there's no moisture in the air, no moisture in your skin. And it's trying to pull water from the air, it can find water, you still feel dry and irritated. Atimes you may even feel a burning sensation, this is why this happens to your skin.
So if you are living in an environment that is super dry or in desert, you are not going to get the most out of your Hyaluronic acid because it can't draw moisture and chances are that you are already dry.
It doesn't respond as much as climate where there's more moisture in the air, much humidity.
HOW TO WALK AROUND IT
This will ensure you use it correctly and no matter where you are, or how dry you are, or how dry your climate is.
Remember hyaluronic acid is drawn to water, so what you are going to do is, give it water :
- On a clean face, shake and spray your mist that has a thorn of water in there.
- Make sure that your skin is wet.
- When it's wet, take your hyaluronic acid, do about 4-5 drops, and apply / sprayed evenly to your wet facial skin and chin.
- Whatever is left over on your hand / palm, start to press in, what you are trying to do is, push anything that is sitting on and forcing it into your skin.
- If you live in really dry climate, what you do is, you take the mist again after you've applied the hyaluronic acid, and spray on top again. This is key.
- Always moisturize, because you want to lock in everything. So any type of humectant or emolienting moisturriser will lock in the hyaluronic acid.
- So take a little bit of your moisturizerr, and glow lightweight and non-condogenic oil (take like 3 drops). Mix the oil into your moisturizerr and apply it on your facial skin.
This ensures that your hyaluronic acid is locked in. Sprayed the moisturizer evenly. Massage and bring blood circulation into the skin and blood flow, to allow your skin to absorb it.
- Then press it in finally.
